Positive Workplace Cultures Workshop 2024

On Thursday, 5 April 2024 the GHSL delivered the final workshop of the Positive Workplace Cultures Programme, filling Wellington conference rooms with a mix of 30+ guests (representing Health Safety and Wellbeing, Human Resources, Organisational Development, and Diversity and Inclusion) from across the public sector with expert speakers facilitating sesions on:

  • Leading Positive Work and Teams (Kathryn Milburn, NZ Police)
  • Creating Safe Systems of Work (Dougal Sutherland, Umbrella)
  • Learning, Monitoring and Continuous Improvement (Geoff Plimmer and Ollie Zhou, Victoria University)

The Workshop provided an opportunity to share learnings, knowledge and examples of good practice, supporting organisations to take iterative steps necessary for desirable aspects of workplace culture to flourish. The GHSL has been involved in leading the Positive Workplace Cultures Programme, under the leadership of Ray Smith and Rebecca Kitteridge, since 2019 and this in-person event was a real opportunity to celebrate the completion of the Programme.

The Principles Guidance and Case Studies released on the day will be made available in the Resource Hub.(external link)
