- You attend the remaining modules.

- Prior to the workshop start time, you will inform the GHSL that you cannot attend in person
- The GHSL will inform IMPAC and will provide you with a link to join the session online. GHSL will send you (a) a soft copy of the module booklet to work through the session and (b) a soft copy of the assessment paper.

3. What if I am unable to attend and miss one workshop module?
In the event a participant is unable to attend one workshop session for legitimate reasons such as illness, bereavement etc, the GHSL will work with the participant to ensure they have an opportunity to catch up on the missed module and complete the assessment. The following process will be activated:
- The GHSL will inform IMPAC that you cannot/did not attend the session.
- Post session, GHSL will send you the module booklet to review, along with the relevant assessment paper.
- You will need to set aside time for self-paced learning, including reading and reviewing the module booklet and discussing any areas of concern with either a Health and Safety Adviser in your agency or GHSL, or the IMPAC trainer (where available).
- Once you have confidence that you have addressed any learning concerns, please complete the assessment, and send back to IMPAC for assessment (training@impac.co.nz).
- Attend ALL remaining modules.
This self-paced learning option can only be applied to one missed module. On-the-day attendance (face to face or, if necessary, online) for the three other modules is required.
4. What if I miss more than one workshop?
If anyparticipant misses more than one module, they will be offered the opportunity to continue to do the remaining modules but will not be able to meet the requirments to gain the Early in Careers Health and Safety Certificate (Micro-Credential qualification). They will instead be provided with a certificate of completion for each individual workshop attended.
5. Can I provide evidence of recognised prior learning?
If a participant misses a module but can provide evidence of recognised prior learning relevant to the module, the GHSL and IMPAC will liaise to see if the evidence is enough to qualify for recognition of prior learning. Ultimately, this decision is at discretion of IMPAC.
6. Is there anyway I can I catch up on the modules I have missed to gain the Certificate?
If any participant wishes to catch up and attend the modules they missed. They are welcome to contact us and ask to registering for the modules being delivered for the next Early in Careers Health and Safety Certificate programme, however, this will be at their own expense, unless otherwise agreed with GHSL and IMPAC.
